(7.1) the contract between the parties will only be formed when the goods are delivered, once an order is placed, the order status is set as processing. This does not mean the item has been dispatched and does not constitute an acceptance of the order. (7.2) Crown DIY reserve the right to cancel an order right up to the point of delivery; (7.3) payment from the customer’s credit or debit card does not constitute a binding contract; and (7.4) if the customer’s order is ultimately rejected due to a pricing error, a full refund will follow. If an error is made and a product is listed at an incorrect price, Crown DIY has the right to refuse or cancel any orders placed at the incorrect price. If the order has been charged to your credit/debit card, we shall immediately issue a credit in the amount of the incorrect price. The team at Crown DIY work hard to ensure that prices listed and technical specification information is accurate at the time of purchase. The processing of a payment and acknowledgement of an order does not constitute a legally binding contract and we cannot be held responsible for any inaccuracies at any time and for any delays. After you place an order, you will receive an e-mail from us acknowledging that we have received your order. However, please note that this does not mean that your order has been accepted. The contract between us will only be formed when the item/items have been delivered.

Where the company has been obliged to make an additional delivery of the goods to the premises specified in the contract due to the failure of the customer to accept the delivery of the goods, the company reserves the right to make a charge for such additional delivery, unless the company failed to meet a specified time and date of delivery agreed in writing by the company and the customer. Any proposed delivery date specified on this invoice or on a sales order does not constitute such agreement in writing. Where we reject an order and your payment for the goods has already been processed, we will refund any money paid to us in respect of that order and make reasonable endeavours to process the refund within five (5) Business Days. Crown DIY is not liable with respect to any loss, damage, cost, expense or injury you or any third party incurs as a result of any delay in processing your refund.

All delivery options and charges can be found on our Shipping and Returns page. Please note that delivery timetables are best estimates, and may be subject to change as due to seasonality, weather and other non-specified factors. All prices include VAT. For orders containing multiple items, you will be charged one fee based on the collective weight of your order, unless you specifically request specialist delivery arrangements. Our deliveries are usually handled by Royal Mail, DPD, MyHermes, Packlink or on larger orders, one of our pallet courier partners or via specialist transport vans.
When your order arrives at your address, you will be given the opportunity to check and sign for the products. During delivery, we recommend a visual inspection of your order on arrival for any obvious damages, and to ensure that all products ordered are present.
Once you receive your items, please do not store them away for later inspection, as if any goods received are damaged, faulty or incomplete, you must notify us within 48 hours of delivery via email or telephone, quoting your ORD number for reference. Please open each box and check thoroughly for damages. If we are notified within the given time frame, we will then organise a replacement and collection. In any situations in which customers have adhered to terms and conditions, yet have received goods that are incorrectly supplied or damaged in transit, Crown DIY will replace goods free of charge. Please note that in some cases, a courier will refuse to collect and we will be unable to organise a collection, for example in the case of broken glass or pottery.
Upon signing, responsibility for these products passes on to you, and any risk of damage or loss is assumed by the purchaser. We are not responsible for any goods received or unpacked by anyone other than the purchaser, so please ensure that person is present to check and sign for the goods at the supplied delivery address.
Please do not fit any damaged goods, as we will be unable to replace or refund damaged items which have been installed. If you find your goods are damaged, please get in touch with us and we’ll do our best to help.
All damaged goods, wherever possible, must be returned in their original packaging. For international buyers, we cannot be responsible for any postage cost if the item is found to be faulty or damaged. In instances of international orders, product guarantees which depend on British manufacturing standards or assume the end user has a British Standard water system are no longer applicable.
Please be aware that we cannot be held responsible for any loss or damage incurred due to errors made by the purchaser during checkout, for example entering incorrect address details, so please ensure all information is correct before processing your order.
For larger items sent via specialist couriers such as baths, bath panels, shower trays, worktops, large appliances, If you fail to take delivery on the date first attempt, then we reserve the right to charge £60 for any subsequent deliveries. If someone else is signing for the goods on your behalf you agree to advise them that the goods must be checked and you accept full responsibility for any loss or damage if they sign on your behalf. Please note: all bulky items require a signature. On bulkier deliveries, we reserve the right to take a £60 re-delivery fee if you miss the first delivery attempt due to the fragile nature and size of these items and want a refund. If a bulky item has already been delivered and you change your mind it may be a subject to a £60 delivery fee and re-stocking or handling charge on items. The maximum re-stocking charge would be 20% of the total net price of the product in question. In the unfortunate event that a product cannot be delivered within the quoted timescale we will contact you to make you aware and give you the opportunity to change your order. The standard delivery offered when purchasing heavy goods to the UK is kerbside. This means that the driver will park up outside your premises and it’s then your responsibility to unload your goods from the truck. While it is possible that you get a helpful driver who may be inclined to help you unload your goods, it is not their job. Your driver is under no obligation to help you unload your goods (as they won’t be insured if they are injured or something goes wrong). This is why we recommend that you have a friend or two on hand to help you remove your goods from the truck. We advise against booking any installers, or engaging in preparatory work until full receipt and inspection of your goods, and will not be liable for any tradesperson costs, consequential loss or compensation in any way. Delivery timescales are given as estimates in good faith, but cannot be taken as precise or exact information.
We will not liable for any plumbers costs, consequential loss or compensation in any way.
Some items are delivered direct by the manufacture and if an item is out of stock we will confirm with you when an item is back in stock via either telephone or email, and then take action from there.
If goods are ordered over the weekend or bank holiday, please be aware that the order date is taken as the next available working day for delivery purposes.
For standard pallet deliveries, the responsibility of disposing of delivery packaging materials, such as pallets lies with the customer, though we do have additional delivery upgrades where pallets can be disposed of as part of the delivery service.
All orders placed by you and purchases of goods from us (whether in-store, by telephone, via our website or by such other means as we may permit) are on the basis of these Terms and Conditions and are subject to acceptance by us either (as applicable): (i) by delivery of the goods to you; or (ii) by providing the goods you have purchased to you at the trade counter, at which point a legally binding contract is constituted between you and us.
